SUSTAINABILITY AS FOOD CULTURE
La Grande Bottega Italiana is a circular food and wine distribution network, with stories to tell, people to know, values to share.
The Italy of La Grande Bottega Italiana is the country of extensive culture, where the farmer is an artisan studying the ars agraria: all his work is sustainable by definition, the concept of circular economy is embedded in his art.
THE HAY
The hay with which the dairy cows are fed comes from our fields and receives no chemical treatment whatsoever.
WATER
Our dairy farms are water-efficient. We do not irrigate the fields, we do not water the animals and we try to recover all rainwater.
MILK
The dairy processes milk only from our cows. The milk is zero km and does not undergo any heat treatment.
PHOTOVOLTAIC AND BIOGAS PLANTS
We are completely energy independent thanks to photovoltaic and biogas plants. Photovoltaics
uses sunlight to produce energy and Biogas transforms manure and slurry into electricity.
Together they produce enough energy to power the farm.
